About Burial Benefit Center
An independent information and referral service for final expense life insurance.
Who we are
Burial Benefit Center publishes consumer information about final expense life insurance for adults in the United States, generally between the ages of 50 and 85, and connects people who want to go further with licensed insurance agents.
We built this site because the final expense category is full of advertising that talks around the important details — waiting periods, graded benefits, who actually qualifies. Those details determine whether a policy does what a family expects it to do. We would rather explain them up front than have someone find out later.
What we do
- Publish plain-language educational content about final expense coverage, eligibility basics, and the trade-offs involved.
- Refer consumers who request it to licensed insurance agents and agencies who can provide personalized quotes.
- Disclose clearly how we make money and what happens to the information you give us.
What we do not do
- We are not an insurance company or agency, and we are not a licensed insurance producer.
- We do not sell, solicit, negotiate, underwrite, issue, or bind insurance policies.
- We do not decide who qualifies for coverage, and we cannot quote premiums or guarantee approval, rates, or savings.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency or program, including Medicare and the Social Security Administration.
If you have received a communication that claims to be from Burial Benefit Center and it does not match what is described here — for example, someone claiming we can approve coverage, or claiming to represent a government program — please report it to us.
Editorial approach
Our educational content is written independently. Partners who pay us do not review, approve, or edit it before publication, and we do not soften a trade-off because it is inconvenient for a partner. Where we cite figures — such as median funeral costs — we name the source so you can check it yourself.
